Thomas Muzzleman, of Newark, 45, was hit and killed while riding his bicycle on Old Baltimore Pike near Albe Drive in Ogletown about 6:45 a.m. Friday, Delaware State Police said. Police spokeswoman Sgt. Melissa Zebley said Muzzleman was hit by a 1994 Chevrolet 1500, driven by Christopher O’Neill, 18, of Newark, as the two traveled west. Muzzleman tried to make a turn in front of the truck and O’Neill plowed into him. O’Neill tried to swerve around Muzzleman and crossed into the eastbound turning lane of Old Baltimore Pike, where he ran into the back of a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, police said. O’Neill and Michael Williams, 43, of Middletown, the driver of the Silverado, were not injured, police said.
