• Bicyclist hurt in hit-and-run on Marsh Road

    State police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist hospitalized today.

    The unidentified bicyclist, who is in his 40s, was found on the 1800 block of Marsh Road just before 3 p.m., officials said.

    Claymont Fire Company and New Castle County Emergency Medical Services personnel discovered the man, who had been hit by a car and had suffered head and chest injuries, said Assistant Chief Richard D. Krett, paramedics spokesman.

    He was flown to Christiana Hospital by Delaware State Police helicopter. Krett said he is in stable condition.
