Modeled after the National Bike Summit and many state bike summits, a primary goal of the Walkable Bikeable Delaware 2013 Summit is to have bicyclists and walkers and Delaware’s many biking/walking supporters meet face-to-face with their state legislators.

If you would like us to help you (along with neighbors from your local district) set up a meeting with your state senator and/or state representative on May 1, please register for the summit.

(If you know of anyone in your area who might like to join you in Dover on May 1, please mention them in the comment section when you register.)

Because of the leadership of people like Senator Carper and Governor Markell, there is tremendous pro-walking and pro-cycling momentum in Delaware right now. But it’s not self-sustaining. If you want Delaware to continue to invest in improving walking and cycling in the state, your elected leaders need to hear that message from you.
